It Isn't That Hard...

Image
Today while out and about we passed a young man we had traveled by many times.  He is out on the corner asking for help.  I had to do a Michigan left and by the time I was on the opposite corner I saw another young man approaching him.  And then this happened..... It really got me to thinking.. this looks beautiful.  Often when you think about praying for a stranger you think .. wow that could be awkward.  But I just think wow.. that looks like a real blessing!   Why are we so afraid to step out. And in an interesting coincidence , the next day a leader in our church posted an article he had written on how to approach a stranger to pray for them.  JonMark Baker (author of the article)  prays for people all the time and this article is a nice little "how to" .     JonMark has a FB page where he posts some of his adventures.  I wonder who God is setting me up for...

Allergy Free Lasagna

As I look at Setting of Silver I realize I started it over 10 years ago.  Time flies!  Yea we were doing GFCF back when you had to order your GF croutons a month in advanced for Thanksgiving stuffing. Now it is everywhere.  I'm such a trend setter.  😝.  I am thinking maybe I should re-cook my way thru my own blog.  Kind of like Julia and Julia.. AmyLou and AmyLou. My most used recipe even now and why I return to that blog is the GFCF lasagna.   Here it is.  And because ain't nobody got time for that (clicking to find the recipe..). Here it is below.  It was originally created by Elena .. last name I do not know.. from a fabulous "in person" group back in the day called Everyday Miracles.   It is not as hard as it looks.  I just put a lot of details in.  And use whatever vegetables you want.  I did it a couple of weeks ago with some zucchini and some sad lookin' spinach.  It does take awhile so put on some praise...

Feasting and The Word

I am taking a break from Facebook this month- and I need SOMETHING to do.  Instagram is my happy place and I realized I post mostly 2 things on there.  Food.  and the Bible.  Thus the thought came to me, I should do a new blog- Feasting and the Word. I have an old food blog.. settings of silver .  Alas I have no idea what my email was that I used for that let alone the password.  I will bring some of my favorites over from there I think.  And maybe try to hang on to this password. You can see my other blog Growing Fruit .  I blogged autism.. homeschooling.. curriculum  reviews.. and Jesus there.  I think I want this to be my happy place. Those other things weren't bad but Jesus and food.. they make me happy.  (The food probably shouldn't make me as happy as it does.)
